Janet Leigh, a capable American actress in the '40s
and '50s, became a Hollywood icon after taking an ill-fated shower
in Psycho. As with most American ingénues, Janet
Leigh started in sunny roles but soon developed a more substantial
dramatic backbone. Leigh has had a great knack for finding excellent
projects, many of which stand today as masterpieces. Younger fans
